The book collected treaties delivered at international conferences of distance education during 1999 to 2004. The treaties in this book elaborated from different levels and perspectives relevant issues in the field of distance education in rural areas including the position, role and pondering of agricultural education through radio and television, summarization and perspective of distance education practices and features in agriculture in China, exploration of the transition of instructional media to digitalization in rural areas as well as exploration on issue pertaining to rural women education. In addition, this book also includes the essays written in English by visiting scholars of CABTS in Casetsart University of Thailand and University of Saskatchewan of Canada.
